Casa Turrita Bed and breakfast Casa Turrita sits amidst the famous olive groves and vineyards of Montefalco, on the Strada del Sagrantino, in the province of Umbria. The B&B is located just three kilometers from the center of Montefalco, a well preserved medieval hill town, and has wonderful views of the Umbrian valley and the hills of the Apennines. Outside of the center at Casa Turrita, you can enjoy the serenity of the Italian countryside but be just 30 minutes away from fascinating medieval towns.

Casa Turrita offers the serenity of the Italian countryside in one of the most unspoiled regions of Italy. Umbria, known as the green heart of Italy because of its abundance of verdant farmland, is in the center of Italy and is home to some of Italy's great art cities. It is a beautiful province with gorgeous colors, spectacular views, walled hill towns and an intriguing history.

Owned by American Susan Armstrong, Casa Turrita caters to the discerning traveler providing the small but important comforts that are expected. Susan has lived in Umbria for several years and speaks both English and Italian. The security of knowing someone who speaks your language while in a foreign country is invaluable. She is available to answer your questions, help plan an interesting itinerary or recommend a good restaurant .

Casa Turrita is the ideal location for exploring Umbria. There is a wealth of things to do. Stop at local cantinas and discover the local wines including Sagrantino, a hearty red, or sample the peppery olive oil at a one of the olive oil mills. Visit Umbria’s own Roman ruins, Carsulae, or Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. Wander through Perugia’s underground, created when the Pope decided to punish the local people, or immerse yourself in the crowds at Gubbio’s Festa dei Ceri. Marvel at the sight of the cathedral in Orvieto or the Infiorata in Spello. Stroll through lovely Spoleto or shop for ceramics in centuries old Deruta.
